THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 2,1997 Blyth Public School Public school, one adventure after another By Kristy Blair From the first day, walking into the kindergarten class, up until this night, the memories will last forever. One adventure after another. Certain little boys kissing certain little girls in the corner, the newly- discovered food ... glue, the nap times, the games, the fun, the laughing, the loving, the crying. These days will be remembered always. No matter where we go and what we do. And now we are facing a new adventure, a new challenge, new friends, new surroundings. As we look around we see each face, each smile, and we realize that these are our friends. They will always be remembered. In the fall, some of us will be attending Central Huron Secondary School, some F. E. Madill or St. Anne's, but our memories will hold us together. For, the times are changing and so are we, and so we must keep our heads up. Keep hoping and believing in ourselves in everything we do. Blyth Public School Grade 8 graduates are, in back from left: Brian Sherred, Derek Cook, Teag Onn, Jeff Lewis, Ryan Lee, Anthony de Boer, Jason Stryker, Chris Hill and John George. In front, from left: Mrs. Pat Hulley, Rachel Morrison, Sabine Schroeker, Amanda Fitzgerald, Kendra Brigham, Cathy Caldwell, Shanda Loder, Kristy Blair, Jackie Brak, Bonnie Stewart, Elizabeth Ross and Mr. Rich Maertens. We all have goals and dreams, and they will change as time passes on. As we move on, we will change more. The rest of our lives will bring more laughing, more loving more crying, new adventures, and new challenges. To me, tonight is a goodbye to childhood, and a step into maturity. And we shall never forget the ones who supported us the whole way through: our parents, our teachers, our classmates, and our friends. Each played a good part in trying to steer us in the right direction and in times of trouble, they gave us a shoulder to cry on and put a smile on our face. And as we seek our new adventures and challenges, these people will be thought of. On behalf of our class I would like to thank those who have believed in us and supported us. Ladies and gentlemen, take a bow! For, we have made it! We are the class of'97!
