Travelling east on the 401 and stopping for a coffee break shortly after 10 a.m. at a large tourist association picnic area near Cobourg, their busload was treated to nice fresh bran muffins baked by the hostess's husband. Provisions for all four busloads were supplied by the company in order to save time. Then it was non-stop through to Brockville to the Grenville Christian Academy attended by students from kindergarten to university. Ail 207 sat down to attractively set tables and enjoyed a full-course meal prepared and served by a numtier of the students. Judging by the meal they have surely been taught to cook as well. Then it was on to a huge entertainment park at the outskirts of the city where the multi-talented Russell family of Eganville, performed for one and a half hours displaying their dancing, singing and musical skills. Also in the park were several craft displays among numerous other things. At 7 p.m. there was a hot air balloon festival, with many going up for rides. Following that was a stunning performance of the RCMP musical ride, which included 36 beautiful black horses, bred, raised and trained in Ottawa, mounted by the red-coated RCMP. Following this they turned their chairs around to face the stage and a show by the well-known Andre Gagnong. Following this they tracked to Ganonoque where their overnight accommodation was at the beautifully treed and landscaped Country Squire Resort. After their buffet breakfast on Saturday morning they were taken to the boat dock and went on a one and a quarter-hour cruise among the Thousand Islands. Then it was on to Kingston for a tour of the city and a lunch stop in a west-end mall. After leaving here they travelled on the old peaceful, Hwy. 2 to the Bay of Quinte where they crossed over on the ferry to Glenora to view the Lake on the mountain and the beautiful surroundings. After leaving Picton on Hwy. 62 and back up to the 401, it was on to Toronto for a buffet dinner at the family restaurant, then back to Kitchener where it poured rain just as they got back to the car at 9:30 2nd Annual Brussels Optimist SPORTS FEST ’97 Sunday, July 13th, 1997 Co-ed baseball, volleyball & horseshoes 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. First 8 entries $50.00/team 10-12 players/team 19 yrs. of age or older To register call: Grey Wilson 887-6072 Unscramble each word and place one letter in each ^square Unscramble the circled letters to answer to j the puzzle.
