PAGE 6. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4,1997 Dress up for Homecoming The Brussels Homecoming com mittee is encouraging home and business owners to help brighten the village by taking part in the decorating contest. With just two months to go before Brussels officially marks its 125th anniversary, preparations are swinging into high gear. With huge red and white ribbons, donated by Huron Feeding Sys tems, Brussels Agromart and Cardiff and Mulvey Real Estate and Insurance Ltd., the committee will be decorating the light stan dards along Tumberry street, the arena and ball park. It is hoped residents will be inspired to purchase at least two of the bows to include in their own decorating scheme, says committee member Keith Mulvey. The bows will be available at Just For You, Oldfield Hardware and Brussels Variety, at competi tive prices to other party supply outlets, he says. The bows may be purchased ready-made or just the material to create your own. Judging will take place July 15, with the awards presented at the Thursday, July 31, talent show as part of the anniversary celebrations. A plaque from Sunshine Country Consulting and a prize from Mait land Manor Nursery will go to the home decorating contest winner and H.
