The two Brussels U-10 teams looked like they were having a ball as the first to try out the
new soccer field behind the Brussels Morris and Grey Community Centre, when they met in
regular season play May 20 and left at the end tied 1-1.

The WMS of Melville
Presbyterian Church met at the
home of Isobel Gibson for the
regular meeting on May 5.
Helen Elliott read a poem - a
new version of Matthew 6, verses
25, 28 and 30.
The hymn, God of Mercy, God of
Grace was sung.
President, Helen presided for the
business. The secretary's report was
read by Thelma Cardiff and Leona

Armstrong gave the treasurer's
report. The roll call was answered
by nine members giving a verse
naming "grow" or "growing". --
The next meeting will be at the
home of Marguerite Krauter.
The hymn The Morning Light is
Breaking, the Darkness
Disappears, was sung. The
scripture reading from Luke, "The
Good Samaritan" was read by Mrs.
Krauter. The president told more
from the study book, about China.
There was a closing prayer and
lunch was served and a social time

Majestic Women's Institute held a
very delicious dessert euchre. Forty
people were present to enjoy the
abundance of wonderful desserts.
Nine tables of euchre were
played with prizes going to the

Notice Is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the
Wingham and District Hospital Corporation will be held In
the Nursing Assistants' Training Centre, Catherine St.,
Wingham, Ontario on Thursday, June 19,1997 at the hour
of eight o'clock p.m. for the revision of bylaws; for the
election of Governors; for the appointment of Auditors;
and for the transaction of such other things as may
properly come before the meeting.
Copies of the Annual Report and Hospital Financial
Statements may be obtained at the front desk of the
Wingham and District Hospital effective June 12, 1997
and at the Annual Meeting.
Memberships granting voting privileges may be
purchased at the front desk of the hospital for five dollars
($5.00) prior to five o'clock p.m., Wednesday, June 4,
1997. No membership sold, after that time will entitle the
purchaser to a vote.
