In accordance with the Weed Control Act, Statutes of Ontario, 1990, Chapter W5,
Sections 3, 16 and 23, that unless noxious weeds growing on lands are destroyed
by the property owner by. June 9.1997, and throughout the season, the Municipality
may enter upon the said lands and have weeds destroyed, charging the costs against
the land in taxes, as set out by the Weed Control Act.
The Co-operation of all citizens is earnestly solicited.
W. Wawanosh man loses license

Sealed tenders addressed to The Huron County Board of Education will
be received at the office of The Huron County Board of Education, 163
Princess Street, East, Clinton, Ontario, NOM 1L0, until 1:00 p m on
Thursday, June 5 , 1997.
A Bid Bond amount of $15,000 for Stephen Central Public School,
$15,000 for Hullett Central Public School and $15,000 for Hensail
Public School, is required to accompany the tender. The successful
bidder will be required to provide a 50% Performance Bond and a 50%
Labour and Material Payment Bond.
A limited number of tender documents will be available to General
Contractors only, from the office of Garratt & Marklevitz, upon deposit
of a certified cheque in the amount of $50.00 per set.

A West Wawanosh man lost his
driver's licence for 12 months and
has to pay a $750 fine after
pleading guilty to driving with over
80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of
blood.
Stuart Rintoul, 18, a student at
F. E. Madill Secondary School,
was spotted driving a vehicle in
Blyth man to pay damages
A Blyth man pleaded guilty in
provincial court last Thursday to
causing a disturbance by fighting.
Steven A. Avery was given a
conditional discharge and placed on
probation for 12 months.
Gorrie man gets
30-day jail term
Judge Hunter sent an RR 1,
Gorrie man to jail for 30 days for
driving with his licence suspended.
Kenneth M. Smith, 32, was
caught June 15, 1996 in Grey Twp.
driving a 1987 Ford van.
When the police stopped him, he
first identified himself by another
name, then changed his story.
His licence was suspended from
a September 1995 drunk driving
conviction.
Smith will serve the 30 days in
jail intermittently.
Lucknow, Nov. 3, 1996.
At about 2:37 a.m., officers
pursued the vehicle which was
driving at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle Rintoul was driving
pulled into a driveway and the
occupants of the vehicle went into
the house.
Police later ascertained Rintoul
was driving and found his blood/
Avery got into an argument with
another man, who didn't appear in
court, on Oct. 13, 1996.
The two men went outside of the
restaurant in which they were
drinking and continued their
argument outside. A fight ensued.
Hunter ordered him to abstain
from alcohol while on 12 months
probation.

imposed the $750 fine he usually

Avery was required to pay for
half of the cost of fixing the
window.
