OFA aids Manitoba flood victims
Ontario farmers are coming to
the aid of their colleagues in flood

The Ontario Federation of
Agriculture will help Manitoba
farmers by channelling donations to
a special fund set up by Keystone
Agricultural Producers (KAP),
Manitoba’s general farm
organization, and by encouraging
Ontario farmers to volunteer their
technical skills
The Manitoba Farm Flood Relief

any other flood relief plan and is
designed specifically to
compensate farmers where other
assistance programs do not provide
adequate coverage.
OFA President Tony Morris said
there will be special provisions for
Ontario farmers who make tax
deductible donations to the fund
through the OFA office in Toronto.
OFA will be asking the Ontario
government to match the funds
received at the OFA office, dollar
for dollar.
Cheques should be marked
payable to the Manitoba Farm
Flood Relief Fund, and mailed to
OFA, 40 Eglinton Ave. E.,
Toronto, M4P 3A2.
"This is an opportunity for
farmers across Ontario to directly
help their farming neighbours in
southern Manitoba," said Morris.
"There is a tremendous amount of
work that needs to be done to get
these farms producing again, once
flood waters have receded. We are
