Crime of the week Culprits are continuing to do damage to the Maitland Trail from McGaw Sideroad west back to the Menesetung Bridge. They are cutting padlocks and chains on the gates and making ruts in the trail with vehicles. Damage is happening on the weekends. Signs including stop signs are being damaged, knocked down or pulled out. This has happened repeatedly since the trail has been in operation. The concern of the Trail Association is that somebody will be hurt at one of the intersections if a sign is missing or a gate is open. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, MAY 14,1997 PAGE 9.
