Since the Huron Chapel congregation pledged last year to raise $50,00 for Missions and raised, actually, $60,000, the Missions committee thought that a goal for 1997 could not be more than $62,000. There was considerable excitement, therefore, when pledges received in the final service sent the total of $67,014. Since then additional pledges received have raised that total to $70,754. Bainton Ltd. wanted some assur ances that the hook up would be allowed if the engineer's report was favourable. Stewart had spoken to Henry Rouw, of the Ontario Clean Water Agency, who said the treatment plant was presently running below 50 per cent capacity and Bainton Ltd. would have it running just over 50 per cent. Any treatment which the waste required would be done by Bainton. Council agreed with Scrimgeour when he said he had no problem with the hook up as long as the report was favourable. Blyth renewed its membership in the Ontario Good Roads Associa tion, at a cost of $165.**♦ Property Standards Officer Paul Josling was authorized to investi gate a concern for the property at Plan 174, Lot 27, Part Block B, Part Block C, Part John Street Closed and Drummond Street.
