OLDE Tidying up Though the evening was cool, the Blyth Brownies were out in force to clean up the Threshers' Park and Lions Park as part of their Earth Day effort. Garbage co-collection, council topic Wendy Yamamoto-Chapman of Bluewater Recycling attended the April 22 meeting of Blyth council to bring them up to speed on pro­ grams offered and receive feedback regarding service. Having just completed the haz­ ardous waste days, Bluewater Recycling is preparing for another textile recycling campaign to run from May 26 to June 6. They have expanded their partnership for reuse of thb material and this year will be contributing to Goodwill and the Salvation Army. Clerk-Treasurer John Stewart questioned Yamamoto-Chapman about co-collection pickup where Bluewater would gather regular waste as well as recyclables.
