Students see Titanic
4Hers take shots of elk
By Katie Clark and
Tamara Mason
On Friday, April 11, Grades 7
and 8 students visited F. E. Madill
Secondary School for a presenta
tion about the RMS Titanic. Steven
Santini shared with us true facts
and his collection of the great ship.
Mrs. Perrie's class worked on a
unit about the Titanic and one of
the many things we did was write
an acrostic poem about the Titanic.
On Wednesday, April 16, a group
of students from the Grade 7/8
class made a trip down to Laurie
Trowers' house to have a course on
cooking. Along with Laurie was
Janna Speers to help out. Oatmeal
pancakes, cookies, peanut butter
granola bars and breakfast balls
were on the menu for that day.
They were delicious.
"The Clowns" is the title of the
BPS spring concert this year.
Grades 3/4, 4/5, 6/7, and 7/8 will
be participating. The concert is
about a group of clowns trying to
find the meaning of life. Watch for
further updates as this great show
develops.
Courtney Sallows and Nicole
Mastnak have organized a talent
show for Grades 4-8. Some acts
include singing, dancing, playing
an instrument, skipping, gymnas
tics, and airbands. During this week
there will be auditions to see who
the final acts will be.
F. E. Madill Secondary School's
band came on Monday to share
with us some of their musical
sounds. We always enjoy having
them visit our school.
Mrs. Speers and Mrs. Bell are
organizing the planting of two trees
in recognition of Mr. and Mrs.
Prior's contributions to our school.
These activities will be taking place
on Tuesday, April 22 which is
Earth Day.
