They had an excellent guide and used a land rover for transportation as well as small planes and little canoes around the crocodile- infested waters. They travelled over much desert country and had to watch for snakes. Some of the animals they saw were elephants, wild beasts, baboons, hippos, zebra, lions and giraffes. Some were on game reserves and some in the wild. They mainly cooked their own meals and bought food from roadside stands. They also visited small villages which had different dress codes and customs. They viewed the famous Victoria Falls which are a mile wide and the largest in the world. He told the seniors many amusing stories and said he had a very interesting trip, but Canada is still the best country. Lawrence thanked Daryl and gave him a token of appreciation. Members then continued with the meeting. They sung Happy Birthday to Elsie Walsh, Vera Hesselwood and Lawrence Plaetzer for their February birthdays. There were no wedding anniversaries in February. The usual reports were given and accepted as read. The March meeting is cancelled. Members will be visiting with the Londesboro Seniors on March 26 at 12:30 p.m. The bus trip was discussed. The program committee will look into this and report back. The next meeting will be on April 23. Lawrence recited a very humorous poem called "Where do you Buy Scratch?"
