Special thanks to those people
who volunteered to give up two
hours a week to help the students
improve their reading in the star
reading program. There were 17
people who volunteered so they
were able to run a morning and
afternoon session. If the interest
continues there will be another
session starting in April. Thanks for
helping young readers.

EWPS has become involved in a
recycling program. Mr. Harrison
was able to obtain a grant from the
Shell Environmental Fund and with
the help of Bluewater Recycling,
the program is underway.
The grade 2/3 class is currently
studying about recycling and the
environment in their Environmental
Studies classes. As part of their unit
on recycling, the class organized a
litterless lunch day on Tuesday,
Feb. 4. The object of the day was to
become aware of how it reduces the
amount of garbage produced in the
world each day.
