Ryan McClinchey led the scoring with four goals while Cory Ander­ son, Tyler Kemighan, Neil Salver- da and Drew Crawford each had a hattrick. The Reverend Lynn Nichol will be coming to minister Cranbrook and Monkton Presbyterian Churches. The Rev. Nichol is well known to the congregation in Cranbrook as she was a student minister assigned here for two years. The Cranbrook church has not had a minister for over a year and the community welcomes Rev. Nichol. The Vanass family held a party in the Cranbrook Community Centre for the 50lh birthday of John Vanass. Last Friday's euchre parly was hosted by Grey Twp. councillors. Seven tables were played. Prize winners were: lone hands,' ladies', Marie Stute; lone hands, men, Stu Musgrove; high lady, Beryl Smith; high man, Harold McNaughton; low lady, Isabelle Gray; low man, Jim Armstrong; tally card draw, Shirley Verstocp, Margaret Long, Helen Gallop, Marjory McCourt; 50/50, Kenneth Crawford; birthdays, Leona came home with a tie. Blyth applied pressure early, but the Goderich goaltending was superb. They stopped, deflected and watched as pucks hit the posts and cross bar. There was no scoring until the third when Goderich slipped one by goalie Justin Peters. Blyth replied 11 seconds later when Anderson got the loose puck at centre ice, worked his way in on the right side and snapped it past the goalie's Armstrong, Alvin McLellan. The next euchre party will be held Friday, Feb. 7, sponsored by the Hall board. Admission is $2. Women please bring lunch. This ended the team's regular season schedule with a record of 14 wins, two losses and one tie. Cranbrook native competes at nationals Peter McDonald and Jennifer Boyce are competing in Senior Dance Figure Skating competition at the Canadian Championships in Vancouver. This competition will be on CTV on Sunday, Feb. 9. The community supports the fine efforts made by this accomplished couple. Peter is the son of Graeme and Faye McDonald of Cranbrook. They were assisted by T.J. Marks, Trever Koehler, Ryan McClinchey, C. Stewart and Muskies clinch 1st The Shelburne Muskies clinched first place in Senior A hockey with a 5-3 win over the Brussels Crusaders Saturday in Shelburne. Keith Davis (two), Jason Hackett, Kevin Greco and Dave Johnston scored for Shelburne with Dean Wheeler (two) and Brian Campbell replying for Brussels. Belgrave Girls lose 3, win 2 After a tough series against two Wallace teams in December the Belgrave Intermediate Girls came back with two wins in recent con­ tests. The first of the Wallace losses came in early December in a home game. Sherri Robison and Heidi Meier, with an assist from Michelle McNichoI, tagged the only Bel­ grave markers in this 7-2 loss. On Dec. 10, Wallace II came to town and chalked up a 6-3 victory. Scoring for Belgrave were Meier, Stephanie Hopf, and Lisa Black. Assists went to Susan Bieman, McNichoI with two, Elissa Nixon, Julie Hopper and Meier. On Dec. 28, Wallace I came to town and shut out the home team, while scoring four of their own. Not to be undone, the team trav­ elled to Belmore the next day and ended up on the win side of a shutout. Scoring in this 5-0 game was Peggy Procter, Heidi Meier, with a hattrick and Mandy Sellers. Assists went to L. Meier, Hopper and Holly Pfieffer. Michael Bean. Scoring for Brussels were Sean Hoegy, assisted by Tyler Campbell and Kyle Stephenson, assisted by Hoegy. Brussels played Tuesday night at home, while Blyth's next game is tonight (Wednesday) at 6 p.m. The Crusaders scored twice late in the first period to tie, but trailed 4-2 after two periods. The Crusaders are at home Tuesday to Palmerston and Saturday against Drayton. Sunday they travel to Goderich before starling playoffs the following weekend. On Jan. 22 Belgrave decimated Howick by an 8-2 score. Leading the way was Kendra Moffat with five goals. Hopf, Black and H. Meier each notched one. Assists went to H. Meier, two, Robison, three, Hopper, four, and Kerri Meier. Brussels Tykes close door on Milverton It was a shut out for the Brussels Tykes when they travelled to Mil­ verton, Jan. 26. Strong defense and good reflexes by Chris Corbett in net kept the opponent off the board while Brus­ sels scored four. Christopher Jutzi bulged the twine first, followed by an Adam Corbett netter. Corbett scored a second goal, assisted by Shane Gibson, then assisted Gibson for a goal of his own.
