IN
MEMORIAM
SOUCH, In loving memory of a
very special daughter Sherry Lynn
who passed away four years ago
February 2, 1993.
If we were to have one wish today
and know it would come true, we'd
telephone to heaven Sherry and ask
to speak to you. We think of you in
silence, we often speak your name
for all we have are memories and
your picture in a frame. A special
smile, a special face a part of the
family we cannot replace. They say
there is a reason, they say that time
will heal, but neither time nor
reason helps the emptiness we feel.
Although not in our lives to share,
in our hearts you are always there.
Please treasure Sherry God in your
garden of rest. For in her world she
was one of the best.
Dearly missed and forever loved -
Mom and Dad. 04-1

loses
tires
It could have been worse.
On Jan. 21, a truck pulling a trail
er lost two tires at the busy inter
section of Hwy 86 and Hwy 4, a
situation which fortunately resulted
in no injuries or damage to other
vehicles or property.
According to the OPP, William
Vandcrloop, 38 of Arva was driv
ing a 1996 dump truck, towing a
trailer owned by Arva HTS Ltd.,
when the bolts for the right side tire
of the first axle broke and the
wheel came off. By the time the
driver stopped, about one km south
of Hwy 86, a second lire had come
off.
No charges were laid.

U. Siertsema
a hero
A former Blyth resident recently
received recognition for jumping to
the rescue.
Bruce Siertsema, now of
Goderich, was one of six people
who were awarded certificates of
appreciation for their courageous
efforts last March when they came
to the assistance of a woman being
brutally attacked behind Victoria
Public School Goderich.
Pauline Vanstone, Kim Vanstone
and Rick Livesey, as well as two
others who did not wish to be iden
tified, also received certificates.
The woman, who required the, aid
of a walker, was attacked by a man.
The rescuers called the police then
ran to assist the woman.
Goderich Police Services Board
Chair Rick Magie thanked the resi
dents for their citizenship.
The assailant is serving 10 years
in jail after pleading guilty to
attempted murder, robbery and
aggravated sexual assault.
