On Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. the church
service began at Auburn United
Church.
Rev. Ross gave the invitation to
worship and welcomed everyone.
He also drew attention to
announcements. This was followed
by prayer.
Wise Man Seeking Jesus was
then sung. The prayer of confession
and of God’s pardon followed. The
children then gathered at the front.
Rev. Ross showed them onion sets
with samples of good and bad soil
and kitty litter. He discussed the
advantage of planting in good soil,
then explained in daily life people
do their best when they do well. He
closed with prayer, then the
children went to their Sunday

In a recorded vote, a motion
before Hullett council, Dec. 17,
regarding video lottery terminals,
was defeated.
The motion, which stated that
Hullett Twp. was opposed to video
lottery terminals, was voted down
by Councillors Doug Hugill and
Bob Szusz. Reeve Tom Cunning
ham and Councillor Bruce Bergsma
voted for the motion. With council
lor David Armstrong absent, the
vote was split.

The monthly euchre tournament
was held at the hall on Friday
evening, Jan. 10.
There were eight tables of
euchre.
Winners were: first, Frank and
Kay Baer; second, Marie and Willis
Bromley; second, tied, Doreen and
Glen Carter and Sylvia and
Dorothy. There were two draws for
share the wealth, won by Marie
Bromley and Dennis Penfound.
The next euchre tournament is on
Friday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m.
