Daer, a resident of the Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell and formerly of Auburn, passed away at her residence on Sunday, Dec. 29, 1996 in her 87th year. Bom in Auburn on Oct. 13, 1910, she was the former Florence Luella Walper, a daughter of the late Peter Walper and the former Anna Yungblut. On Aug. 25, 1934, she was married to John James Daer, who predeceased her on June 30, 1980. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Auburn area moving to Auburn in 1958. Mrs. Daer moved to Goderich in 1981 and has resided at the Ritz Lutheran Villa since 1990. She was a former member of the Ladies' Guild in Auburn. She is survived by four daughters, Edith Roney and her husband Arnold of RR 3, Mitchell, Lila McClinchey and her husband Norman of RR 2, Auburn, Edna Ford and her husband Eddie of Huntington Beach, California and Ellen Jackson and her husband Ralph of Mitchell, a daughter-in- law Sandra Kisch of Goderich, a brother-in-law Bert Daer and his wife Dorothy of Blyth. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son Robert Daer (1988), a brother Charles and by a great-grandson Steven. Friends were received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gerry Brown officiating. Spring interment will be in Blyth Union Cemetery. MARION MOSS Marion W. Moss of Huronview, Clinton, formerly of Auburn, died at Huronview on Dec. 31, 1996. She was 88. She was born in Logan Twp., Perth County on July 18, 1908. Her parents were the late George McKay and Matilda Newstad. She was married for 64 years to William J. Moss, who predeceased her in November of last year. Mrs. Moss was the dear mother of Ruth (Mrs. Dave McClinchey) of Auburn and Betty (Mrs. Robert Cook) of Glencoe. She is survived by her grandchildren Lorraine Franken of Clinton, Susan McClinchey of Hamilton, David McClinchey of Auburn, Jannie and Danielle Cook of Glencoe. She was predeceased by one grandson, two sisters, Mae Mueller, Jennie Kirkby, and two brothers, Bill and Lundy McKay. A private family funeral service was held on Friday, Jan. 3 at the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes, Tasker Chapel, Blyth. Rev. Stephen Huntley officiated. Interment will be at Ball's Cemetery, Hullett Twp. DOROTHY GREENAWAY At Huronlea, Brussels on Monday, Jan. 6, 1997, Dorothy H. Greenaway of Brussels, formerly of Bluevale passed away. She was 80. Mrs. Greenaway is survived by her daughter, Karen and her husband Neil Okum of Kitchener, son, Jim Greenaway and his wife, Debbie of Wingham, and, daughter- in-law Caroline Greenaway of Kincardine. She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Kerr of Toronto and Verna Kilpatrick of Kitchener, her brother Ross Wright of Elmira, six grandchildren and four great-grand­ children. She was predeceased by her husband Leslie R. Greenaway, her son, John Greenaway, brothers, Elgin and Kenneth Wright, and sister Donna Prauze. Visitation was at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Alan Barr officiated. Interment will be in Wroxeter Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. GAIL MCDONALD Gail McDonald, of Brussels passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 1996, at her residence. She was the beloved daughter of Jack and Dorothy McDonald, lov­ ing sister of Paul and Jane McDon­ ald, John and Merilyn McDonald, all of Brussels, and the late Neil McDonald, who predeceased her in 1992. Spring interment of the cremated remains will take place at Brussels Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Cana­ dian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Betts Funeral Home, Brussels. ALBERT E. COOK Albert E. Cook of Belgrave, passed away at Wingham and Dis­ trict Hospital, Wednesday, Jan. 1 at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife, the former Jean McCallum, his daugh­ ter, Bonnie Palmer of Goderich, his sons, Jimmy and Fay Cook of Owen Sound and Murray and Terri Cook of Ashfield Twp.
