Group collects gifts
The Evening Unit met at the
home of Myrtle Pengelly with 19
members present.
Barbara Anderson opened the
meeting with a prayer poem "Plea
For the Nations". Laura Johnston,
assisted by Annie Cook, conducted
the Remembrance Day worship
service. Hymns Faith of Our
Fathers and Let There Be Peace
were sung. A meditation was read
and the scripture was from
Leviticus. The worship service
closed with a prayer.
During the business members
decided to cater to the Institute
dinner Dec. 10. The Canadian
Geographic is to be renewed for
two years for the Wingham and

While Blyth lit up for Christmas Debbie Haakers lit up the faces of the youngsters, handing
out balloons in the lower hall of Memorial Hall. While adults took in door crasher sales
throughout the village to get their seasonal shopping started early, there were children's
stories, puppets, face-painting and sing-a-longs to entertain the children.
