It was a close game when Brus-
sels Tykes journeyed to Clinton,
Nov. 16, for OMHA play.
Brussels struck early and quick,
popping in three goals in the open-
ing half of the first period.
The Corbett brothers, Chris and
Adam, were the driving force
throughout the game, with Chris

Novices
suffer
2 defeats
The Blyth Novice Bulldogs faced
a formidable Mitchell opponent,
Nov. 14, succumbing to their over-
powering game in a 10-1 loss.
Despite the lopsided score,
Darcey Cook made some sparkling
saves in a very busy outing.
The lone Blyth goal was scored
by Luke Anderson with 5:51
remaining in the game.
The outcome was no better when
Blyth travelled to Monkton to take
on Elma-Logan, Nov. 16.
Again, Anderson scored the only
marker for Blyth, with assistance
from Brett Bean. The tally was 13-
1.
The strong Elma-Logan team
tested Cook between the pipes, who
played another great game.
"The team continues to improve
in all areas," said Coach Steve
Cook, "because of relentless hard
work."

With the score 5-1 the Bulls'
Ryan Wright added two more, the
first one at 10:09 assisted by Ryan
Kipfer and Brad Mulvey, then
second at 4:46 assisted by
Henderson.
The Bulls got into penalty trouble
late in the game when Staples was
suspended for four games for
spearing and Henderson was
suspended for two games for
fighting after leaving the penalty
box when the game was over.
This weekend sees the Bulls
travel to Kincardine on Friday
night for an 8:30 start against the
first place Bulldogs. This should be
a good test of the five-game
winning streak. They are back at
home on Sunday to take on the Mt.
Forest Patriots at 2 p.m.

In a very entertaining and well-
played game, the Belgrave Junior
Girls achieved a measure of
revenge against a strong Walkerton
team, Nov. 17.
Previously beaten twice by
Walkerton, the team was prepared
for the challenge.
Trailing 1-0 going into the sec-
ond, Michelle Cook won a face-off,
then passed to Rachel Elliott, who
made a brilliant pass to Brittany
Kellington. Kellington one-timed
the puck into the corner of the net.

bravely defended them.
