sails by the Listowel goalie and scores a point for the
hometeam on Sunday afternoon.
It was a heartbreaker for Blyth
PecWees, Nov. 9, as they saw their
5-4 lead over Elma-Logan slip
away in the final seconds of the
contest.
Blyth had recovered from an
early 2-0 deficit, tying the game
five minutes into the second. After
allowing Elma-Logan to recapture.
the lead, the squads traded shots,
ending the middle frame with Blyth
up by one.
With a player in the penalty box,
Blyth was unable to hold off their
opponent, as the tying shot slipped
past the goalie at the one second
mark.
Goals for Blyth were scored by
Derek Cook, Craig Marks (two),
Mau Bromley and Matt Anderson,
Michael Bernard, Luke Slote-
graaf and Marks earned assists.
In the Nov. 11 matchup against
Zurich, Anderson led the 10-goal
attack, notching four, including the
opener.
Blyth came out with a punch,
blasting three over the line in the
first period, while their netminder
stopped all but one.
Their attack was unrelenting as
they again held Zurich to only one
goal, while scoring five.
Marksmen in the first two frames
were Anderson (four). Cook, Slote-
graaf, Marks and Bernard. Gaining
assists were Rob Archambault
(two), Shaun Henry, Devin Shan-
non (two), Nick Courtney, Marks
(two), Bernard and Bromley.
Already up 8-2, the Blyth offense
did not let up. Slotegraaf and Cook
added two more with Zurich pop-
ping in one.
