A large number of exhibitors had displays of everything from wood products to handcrafts. The event is hosted by the Guides, Brownies, Pathfinders and Sparks. Welcoming worshippers were Mary Hunter and Florence McArter. In charge of nursery was Waneta Lcishman and Sarah Cowan. Rev. Mary Jane Hobdcn welcomed the congregation. Two familiar hymns God Sees the Little Sparrow and How Firm a Foundation were sung. Belgrave Brownies, Sparks and Guides sponsor an annual craft and bake sale at the Belgrave Community Centre on the third weekend in November. Money raised is used for camping equipment, outings, craft materials or just to keep the units afloat. For five years the event has been a tremendous success thanks to guiders parents and of course the girls themselves who come out and serve the public and staff the booths. The advertising is primarily done by the third year Girl Guides as one of their program challenges. On Nov. 16 there were a great variety of vendors including: Bev Woodley's "Country Crafts" for Wroxeter and Sandra Toggart and Marianne Spink's "The Crafters Heart" from Goderich, Bob Struthers and Cindy McKee Silent meditation was followed by the Call to Worship and the Prayer of Approach in unison. Hebrew scripture was taken from Judges 4, verses 1-7. The Congre- gation sang We Are The Church. The Gospel lesson was taken from Matthew 25, verses 14-30. Jesus Came a Child Like Me was the hymn preceding the sermon. Becky Logan and Kendra Folkard were the offertory "Family Creations" from Lucknow, Catherine MacDonald of Wingham, Eilleen Jefferson of Auburn, Wilda Higgins, Leila Hay and Brenda of Brussels, Angie Robinson, Norma Moore and Dick Moore of Belgrave, Tina Heatherington of Belgrave, June McBurney, Brenda Sjaarda of Auburn, Myrtle Pengelly of Belgrave, Nancy Jardine of Belgrave. For the children the sale offered face painting done by competent Pathfinders from Blyth Pathfinder unit. Barb Black, Candice Irwin, Sandra Dorsch, Linda Warwick and Barb Pletch worked hard to make this year's sale a great success. The parents and girls served the community cheerfully. With all of their help things ran very smoothly. They are grateful to the public for attending and supporting the Guiding units in Belgrave. Next year's sale will be Nov. 15. stewards. Prayers of the people, The Lord's Prayer were followed by the singing of Love Divine. Lunch and a social time followed in the Church basement. At Calvin-Brick, Shania-Lynn Jamieson, daughter of Terry and Carol Jamieson was welcomed into the community of faith through the sacrament of baptism. All children in Knox Sunday School are asked to be there at 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 24 and Dec. 1 to practice for the Christmas concert.
