have for the second year in a row prepared and served Christmas dinner to its Auxiliary
members.

Blyth Public School students received awards from Blyth Legion representative, Anne Elliott,
Nov. 4, when she presented them with certificates and prize money for the Legion's

Visitors with Alvin and Gene
Snell on Saturday were Donald
Snell of Cambridge and Jack and
Shirley Johnson of London.
Mr. and Mrs. Randy McVittie,
Lauren and Alex of London visited
on Sunday with parents, John and
Vera Hesselwood
At the Nov. 11 euchre there were
five tables in play.
Winners were: high lady, Vera
Hesselwood; high man, Lloyd
Appleby; ladies' low, Geraldine
Dale; men's low, Lawrence Plaet-
zer; ladies' lone hands, Ruth Shields;
men's lone hands, Norman Turnbull.
The Blyth UCW met on Tuesday,
Nov. 12 with 22 present for a pot
luck dinner. This was followed by
devotions with Mary Lou Stewart
and Bonnie Shannon. The theme
was money.

The Blyth Horticultural Society
had their meeting Nov. 12 in the
form of a pot luck supper with 34
members sitting down to a
delicious meal co-ordinated by Lois
van Vliet, Shirley Fyfe and Diana
Campbell.
Following the supper, Harvey
Snell, presided over a short
meeting. After four years he
announced that he is stepping down
as president.
Betty Battye, secretary, read the
minutes of the October meeting
then spoke briefly about the
Greenw ay Project with the
Horticultural Society's tentative
involvement, by having a butterfly
garden in it.
Mrs. Battye announced the new
slate of office for 1997: President,
Betty Battye; 1st Vice, Dan Taylor;

During snowplowing/
removal operations, the
parking of vehicles on
Village streets, roadways,
right-of-ways and parking
lots Is strictly prohibited
between the hours of 1:00
a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Violators may have their
vehicles towed away at the
owner's expense. The
owner of any such vehicle
will be liable for any
damage to their vehicle or
to Village snow removal
equipment. The depositing,
blowing or dumping of
snow on Village property is
strictly prohibited. Cleanup
expense will be billed to
offenders. Your co-
operation Is greatly
appreciated.
