Customer service, BBA's speaker topic Customers respond loyally to a business that treats them well and fairly, consultant Tina Heathers told members of the Blyth Business Association at their fall banquet Oct. 28 at the Blyth Legion hall. Heathers, who runs Future By Design with her husband from their home at Kippen, told the business leaders and their employees that it is very important that a business have a customer service mission statement. "It is important that every single person in the business knows the policy — how far you will go for customer service. In other business, the Association planned for the official kick-off of the Christmas shopping season in Blyth with the "Light the Lights" evening on Nov. 15. The BBA is also exploring the purchase of a large nativity scene to decorate the courtyard at Blyth Memorial Hall.
