Bruce Cook. Maid of honour was her sister, Tina Bosman of Brussels. A steering committee comprised of teachers, school board trustees, students, parents and community representatives has been established to look at several areas of concern. The provincial government is bringing about changes to the education system. Just how those changes will effect the education process at F. E. Madill Secondary School in Wingham is not known at the present time. The steering committee will be examining physical changes to the building necessary due to public safety or environmental concerns, changes necessary to accommodate current changes in the curriculum, changes to delivery of educational services planned for in the future, and an expanded community access to existing or proposed facilities. The goals of the committee are to solicit community opinions of the existing school facility, identify future directions for the school as an educational facility and to identify other roles the school building can provide within its service area. The service area of Madill is from Fordwich in the east to Amberley in the west, and from Teeswater to the north to Blyth in the south. The committee is seeking public input so that a report can be submitted to the Huron County Alicia and David Oesch of Ailsa Craig (cousins of the bride). Attending the groom as best man was his friend Jon Webster of Lon- don. Ushers were Mark McLennan of Croton, Brian McLennan of Thamesville (brothers of the groom), Mark Steel of Croton, and Tom Szostok of Scarborough (friends of the groom). Soloist was Cheryl Ann St. Onge of Kippen. Violinist was Carol Ann McQuaid of Seaforth and organist was Joanne King of Brussels. After a reception in Seaforth, the couple honeymooned in Ottawa. The steering committee will get input from invited community members on Nov. 5 and then an open community meeting will be held on Nov. 12 at which time all concerned residents of the school's service area will be encouraged to attend. School Principal Wayne Tessier said changes to the provincial education system are coming. He said the Ministry of Education is presently reviewing the curricu- lums of all the school boards throughout the province. "We are in search of information and ideas for a five-year plan for the development of a strategic plan for the building," he said. He said the mechanical, electrical and structural reviews have been completed, and a review of the Ontario Building Code has been started. He added that work on Phase 1 Science Labs is under way. "We are trying to get as much input as possible from different groups," said Tessier. "We all have a vested interest in the building." The ministry is reducing the number of years required to obtain the necessary credits to graduate from high school. "This will result in fewer students attending the school, which will mean more space available for outside community groups," said Tessier. The wedding took place in Camlachie United Church and was officiated by Rev. Don Robinson. The bride wore a white satin, off the shoulder, floor-length sheath gown with a lace bodice adorned with white pearls, sequins and a short train. The dress was hand- made by a friend of the bride. Matron of honour, Judy Becker of Angus and bridesmaid Michelle Freeman of Hamilton, also wore floor length gowns of crepe satin in jade. Bright bouquets of yellow gerbers, freesia and roses were carried to accent the gowns. The groom, best man, Aaron Stevens and groomsman, Rudy Huisman, both of Sarnia, looked handsome in black tuxedos with matching vests and bow ties. Following the ceremony 155 guests enjoyed hors 'douevres served pool-side in a "Garden-of- Eden" like setting at the home of the groom's parents, Rick and Penny Dummitt. For dinner guests enjoyed a catered dinner, including roast pork, with several exotic flavours of cheesecake for dessert. Following dinner, the evening brought dancing under a large white tent with guests surrounded by an array of white mini-lights and balloons. The couple honeymooned in Florida with a three-day cruise -in the Bahamas and then returned to their home in Bright's Grove. It was an incredible day and Patty and Corrie would like to thank, once again, their guests that came the distance from the Brussels area and hope that they enjoyed themselves as much as the bride and groom.
