FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
AND CREDIT COMMITTEE
QUALIFICATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. A member of the Credit Union at least 18 years old by October 31st.
2. A Canadian citizen or a person lawfully admitted to Canada for
permanent residency.
3. A member who is regarded in good standing on the records of the
Credit Union.
4. Qualifies under the Act, Regulations or Bylaws of the Credit Union.
5. Complies with risk management policies of the Credit Union and
Credit Union Central of Ontario.
6. Will read and become familiar with the current bylaws of Clinton
Community Credit Union Limited.
7. Will participate in training programs as may be prescribed from time
to time by Credit Union Central of Ontario and as may be prescribed
by regulation.
Nomination forms may be picked up at the head office in Clinton.
Nominations close on Thursday, October 31, 1996 at 5:00 p.m.
There will be no nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting on
Wednesday December 4, 1996 beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the Town
Hall, Clinton.

New Brussels Bulls squad opens against Ironmen
The 1996-97 Brussels Bulls
began with a new look and a
promising effort on the ice.
The first game of the new season
took place in Wingham against the
Ironmen. The Bulls in their away

The Harriston Mercurys scored
three runs in their first at bat
enroute to an 8-4 win over the
Brussels Tigers, and the WOAA
Grand Championship.
The loss gave Harriston the series
three games to one and ended an
excellent season of ball for the
Tigers who were undefeated
against Huron County League
opponents winning the regular
season and playoff championships.
They also won the Western
Ontario Homebrew Championship
and were Grand Champion
finalists. As well, they were the B
Division Champions of the
Godcrich Fastball.Tournament and
were the first Brussels team in the
25 year history of the Brussels
Fastball Tournament to reach the
championship serni-finals.
After losing the opener 4-2 in
Harriston, the Tigers rebounded
with a 5-1 homefield win. Corey
McKee hit three for three, while
Murray Pipe and Ron Strome
batted three for four. Doug Conley
pitched five innings of four hit ball
for the win with Dave Smith
throwing two winnings in relief. In
game three, Harriston hit a two RBI
homerun in their last at bat for a 2-
1 win. Conley, who batted two for
three, had given the Tigers the lead
with a fifth inning homerun. Todd
Uhrig pitched an eight hit, 10
strikeout game in the loss while
Harriston's Ryan Martin struck out
18 Tigers, giving up four hits.
In the final game Uhrig batted
three for four with two homeruns
while Doug Shaw had a two RBI
single. Smith, with the loss and
Conley shared the pitching duties.
Saturday night in Seaforth, the
Tigers were presented with the
Huron County Championship
Trophy at their league banquet.
Seaforth Plumbing and Heating
won the Consolation title, while
individual team MVP's were
announced. Jeff Robinson
(Walton), Dennis Wintemute
(Belgrave) and Dave Smith
(Bulldogs) were all presented with
plaques as was the Tigers MVP
Doug Conley. Conley led the
Brussels pitching staff with a 13-2
won-loss record while offensively
he was third in team homeruns and
runs batted in, and fourth in runs
scored.
white started off conservative but
as the game progressed became
more intense.
The Bulls got on the board first
with a power-play goal by Ryan
Kipfer at the 11:55 mark of the first
period. Six minutes later the Bulls
went up by two on a goal by Ryan
Wright and held a 2-0 lead at the
end of the first.
In the second period Wingham
tied the game on two goals less
than a minute apart. The Bulls
regained the lead at the 3:40 mark
of the second period with a goal by
Travis Baier, then regained their
two goal lead on a shot by Darin
Alviano at the 1:42 mark.
The Bulls went to the dressing
room at the end of the second
period holding a 4-2 lead.
At the 11:30 mark of the third
Wingham made it a one-goal game
and tied the game at four with a
goal at 7:52. That's how the game
finished with the Bulls playing an
evenly matched game.
Jamie Taylor played well in net
for the Bulls with his teammates
playing well in front of him. Shots
on goal were 35-28 in favour of
Wingham.
The 1996-97 Bulls consist of
Corey Bragg, Brad Mulvey, Grant
Jarvis, Brett Fischer, Mike deJong,
Mike Bromley, Brian McNichol,
Mike Mclsaac, Ryan Kipfer, Travis
Baier, Peter Ryter, Josh Alexander,
Ryan Wright, Dan Sinclair, Jason
Heipel, Steve Henderson, Dan
Williams, Mark Durand, Darin
Alviano, Andy Agar, Gary Staples
and Jamie Taylor.
The coaches are Charlie Smith
and Ron Livermore.
The next game for the Bulls is in
Kincardine on Friday with the
Bulls back in town on Sunday at
2 p.m. for their home opener
against those Winghajn Ironmen.

"new" Bulls in their new look
uniforms and cheer them on to

Balancing act
The Grey Central Public School player appears a little
surprised as he attacks the ball in a contest against East
Wawanosh Public School students in the North Huron
soccer tournament, Sept. 19. Grey CPS and East
Wawanosh PS ended the game in a scoreless tie.
