Weather was less than ideal for this year's Terry Fox Run, but participants weren't thwarted.
This year's Terry's Team Member Bob Richmond, right, had some company as he started
out from The Ark on the third annual Brussels run to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer
Society.

she had not received a date as to
when.
Chair of the Brussels

not received any official notice that
the unit is moving out..He believes
that once notification has been for-
mally presented the office will
remain open for a period of one
month.
Hahn also said that it is his
understanding that the chair of the
County Health Board, Ron Murray,
is expected to attend the October
meeting of council to explain the
reasons for closing the office in
Brussels.

This has been an exciting week at
BPS. Everyone always loves the
fair! We would like to thank all of
the people who participated in the
parade and various activities. It was
a great success.
Now the school can be nice and
warm with its new heating and air
circulation system that was lifted
onto the gym roof by a crane on
Sept. 17.
There was a meeting of teachers
to develop the new Huron County
Grade 7/8 report cards. Mr. Prior
and Mrs. Petrie were a great help in
the writing of the reports.
On Tuesday afternoons Kim
Souch will be giving guitar lessons,
and piano lessons are also available
from Paula Van de Kemp on
Mondays or .Veronica Healey on
Thursday afternoons. If still
interested call Veronica Healey at
335-6486 or Kim Souch at 527-
1715.
On the evening of Sept. 17 a
window on the primary door and a
window in Mrs. Clark's classroom
were broken. Sept. 18 they were
replaced with new windows. The
students and teachers do not
appreciate the vandalism. If you
know anything that has a
connection witlaithis or any other
crime, call Crime Stoppers.
On Friday, Sept. 20 the Grade 7
students will be introduced to the
Hepatitis B introductory video.
Soon to follow will be the Grade 7s
first needle.
The BPS cookbooks have been
received. We would like to thank
Mrs. Johnston and her committee.
The cookbooks were being sold at
the fair. Call Mrs. Prior at the
school if you would sttl like one.
The gym is being painted and
should be done in about a week.
Soon to follow there will be a
meeting of Grade 6-8 to discuss
social activities for the year.
The school soccer teams are just
about ready to play in the
tournament at Grey Central School
on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The girls
team is, Jen Cowan, Eileen Exel,
Nicole Lowe, Trish Teeft, Katie
Clark, Kate Kuepfer, Shannon
White, Chrissy Mason, Sarah
Little, Amy Douma, Amber Park-
Shaw, Kendall Jutzi, Richelle
Jorritsma, Nicole Bernard,
Samantha Thomas, Nicole
Mastnak, Courtney Sallows, Megan
Bragg, and Jen McDonald.
Wish the teams luck!
