The nominating committee report
after touring
Switzerland
Rob, Ruth and Margie Gordon
have returned home after spending
two weeks touring Switzerland. A
friend, Walter Kundert, whom Bob
met over 30 years ago, proudly
gave the tourists an informative
tour around his country. The
beautiful homes, mountains, lakes,
Swiss cows, castles and friendly
people were more splendid than
they had anticipated. They even
saw cherse being made in the Alps.
This is where they first saw a
herd of Swiss cows wearing bells.
Walter introduced them to a lot
of delicious traditional Swiss
desserts. Of course the chocolate
was super delicious. Bern, the
capitol, was beautiful with the
Miister Cathedral, towers and foun-
tains. Margie and Ruth climbed the
344 spiral stairs to the top of the
cathedral. They also went to Basal
and saw where France, Germany
and Switzerland meet.
One Sunday afternoon they
attended a concert and experienced
the Swiss music and dancing.
