The Financial Report was given Sheep 1 team goes for gold in 4-H contest By Gerda Vanden Hoven 4-H Club Leader An exciting evening of com- petition involving 10 teams was held Aug. 21 at Clinton. Emerging as champs was the Sheep 1 team consisting of James McNaughton, Derek Maloney, Greg Henderson and Tim Devereaux. They will receive watches donated by Cargill Ltd., Clinton. This team will represent Huron at the Western Region Competition in October. The winners at that competition will compete at the Provincial Go For The Gold at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto on Nov. 2. Falls are the leading cause of injury for those over 65. Lyons greet Greeters on Sunday, Sept. 1 at Londesboro United Church were Bert and Joanne Lyon. Ushers were Bob Trick and Harris Snell. The sermon topic was "Celebrating Work in Scripture and in Song". Greeters at church on Sunday, Sept. 8 were Harve and Yvonne Hoggart. Ushers were Harvey and Yvonne Hoggart. The sermon topic was "An Awesome Responsibility." Flowers from the wedding of Crystal Whyte and Ben Driscoll adorned the front of the church. Choir practice is Sept. 15. To be held at Brussels Morris & Grey Community Centre starting Monday, Sept. 30th and going to Oct. 5th. All ages are welcome and will start at 6:30 for the younger group and lasting one hour. Sat. school will be held In the morning and will be In a game format with Jr. C Bulls on the ice. All students will be Invited downtown after Saturday's skate for a free hot dog and a drink at the IGA. The cost of this camp will be $35.00.
