Tough life Life appears to have been a little rough on the Blyth School's Class of 1959 as they attended the Homecoming parade in hillbilly fashion. M000ve over The Beatrice cow, sponsored by Scrimgeour's Food Market, got a lot of attention during the march down main street, Aug. 10. Their turn's coming With their own celebration coming in just a few week's time, members of the Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association were out with-music and steam engines to participate in the Homecoming '96 parade-in Blyth this past weekend. Blooming beautiful The Blyth Horticultural float was in full bloom for the Aug. 10 and 11 celebration marking 100 years of education at Blyth public schools. Rolling by Blyth volunteer firefighter Brad Montgomery had the pleasurable task of driving the 1925 REO Speedwagon in the Homecoming 96 parade. The machine was the first motorized pumper of the Blyth Fire Department. Marching to the drums Members of the Mocha Temple band contributed colour, Blyth Homecoming parade, Aug. 10. music and entertainment to the Tight squeeze Members of the Mocha Temple added colour, noise and humour to the parade a the miniature cars passed excited children. Hillbilly It was a time for young and old, businessperson and hillbilly when friends gathered for Blyth Homecoming.
