PAGE 26. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26, 1996
HARRIS. In loving memory of a
dear mother and nanny - Opal, who
passed away June 26, 1995.
You can only have one mother
Loving, kind and true.
No other friends in all the world,
Will be so true to you.
For all her love and kindness,
She asked nothing in return.
If all the world deserted us,
To our mother we could turn.
So you who have a mother,
Cherish her with care.
For you'll never know the
heartache,
Until your mother is no longer
there.
— Loved forever, Norma, Reuben,
Eileen, Richard, Ernest and
families. 26-1
STRAUGHAN. In loving memory
of our parents, Will and Elva
Straughan who rest in Ball's
Cemetery, Auburn.
They left us quietly,
Their thoughts unknown,
But left us a memory
We are proud to own.
So treasure them Lord
In your garden of rest.
For when on earth
They were two of the best.
— Remembered with love and
gratitude from daughters Annie
Robertson and Ruth Jardin. 26-1 p

Thinking big,
sermon topic
The congregation of Auburn
Missionary Church rejoiced on
Sunday, June 23 as the church was
celebrating 25 years. The special
musicians were the Phair family of
Brampton. Their singing of
Welcome to the House of God,
Make My Heart Your Dwelling
Place, He is Here and In the
Presence of Jehovah were enjoyed
by all.
The speaker for this day was Dr.
Virgil Gingrich, part time professor
at Emmanuel Bible College. His
message, "Think big with God" had
scripture from Romans 15: 23-33
with special reference to verses 24
and 28.
There is the need of creative

However, he was a man who

ceremony of Profession of Faith.
Rev. Huntley, assisted by Lorna
Fraser, Clerk of Session performed
the ceremony, with a warm welcome.
The service concluded with
commissioning and benediction
and choral response, Go Now In
Peace with the congregation
joining in.
The beautiful flower arrange-

Norman, Wingham, placed in
loving memory by Les and Evelyn
(Norman) Caldwell and family.
The deepest sympathy is extended
to the family.
A strawberry social, all-you-can-
eat cold buffet, will be held in the
lower half of the Blyth United
Church, Thursday, June 27, 5 -
7 p.m. This is sponsored by the
Blyth Business Association.
Proceeds will assist in the ongoing
beautification of Blyth downtown.
