LILLIAN GRACE E. REIHL
Lillian Grace E. Riehl of Blyth,
passed away at Clinton Public Hos-
pital, April 19, 1996.
Mrs. Riehl was a member of the
Blyth Legion Ladies Auxiliary and
Blyth United Church.
Born in Hullett Twp. to the late
Willie and Grace Edna (Eno)
Bromley, 77 years ago, Mrs. Riehl
was the beloved wife of the late
William J. Riehl (1986) and the
loving mother of Frieda and Ray
Adams of Kitchener, Dorothy Oster
of Clinton, Mel and Rosemary
Riehl of London, Mery and Pat
Riehl of Okotoks, Alberta,
Clarence and Loma Riehl of High
River, Alberta, Barbara and Ray-
mond Cook of Seaforth, David
Riehl of Glencoe, Brian and Tracy
Riehl of Ayr and Ken and Deb
Riehl of London. She was prede-
ceased by an infant daughter.
Mrs. Riehl was the much loved
grandmother of 25 grandchildren,
8 great-children and the dear sister
of Charles Bromley of Blyth,
Harold Bromley of Seaforth, Willis
Bromley of Londesboro and Jean
Alexander of Clinton. She was pre-
deceased by a sister, June Hull.
It was Lillian's wish to have a
private family funeral service.
Rev. Stephen Huntley officiated
at the service, April 22, Tasker
Chapel, Beattie-Falconer Funeral
Home, Blyth.
Interment at Blyth Union Ceme-
tery.
MARY ADELLA SHAW
Mary Adella Shaw of Listowel,
formerly of Brussels, passed away
on Friday, April 26, 1996, at Lis-
towel Memorial Hospital. She was
89.
Mrs. Shaw was the beloved wife
of the late Angus Shaw (1988), lov-
ing mother of Doug Shaw of
Thornhill and Peter and Louise
Shaw of Listowel and the loved
grandmother of three granddaugh-
ters and three great-grandchildren.
She was the dear sister of Myrtle
Vodden, Jean Cook and Helen
Gowing, all of Blyth, Ross Turvey
of Wingham and the late Lloyd,
Evelyn and Glenn Turvey.
Rev. Cam McMillan officiated at
the service from Betts Funeral
Home, Brussels, April 29.
In remembrance, donations to a

REITA ISABEL JACKLIN
Reita Isabel (Kitchen) Jacklin,
formerly of Brussels and Listowel,
passed away peacefully. April 22,
1996 at Freeport Health Centre of
Grand River Hospital, Kitchener.
She was 77.
Mrs. Jacklin retired to Kitchener
after 15 years of service at Listowel
Memorial Hospital.
The only daughter of the late
Charles and Isabella (Finlay)
Kitchen of Wroxeter, she was the
beloved wife the late Carl Jacklin
(April 19, 1974) and loved mother
of Bob, (Mary), Shirley and Tom,
all of Kitchener, Patricia (Mark
Bennett) of Foster, Quebec and
Linda and Paul Walper of Bayfield.
Mrs. Jacklin will be remembered
by 12 grandchildren, three step-
grandchildren and six great-grand-
children.
Rev. Randy Banks officiated a
the service which was held at Betts
Funeral Home, Brussels, April 24.
Interment at Gorrie Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kevin Jacklin,
Paul Jacklin, Mike Hand, Brian
Patterson, David Jacklin and Gary
Patterson.
Lori Patterson, Mary Jacklin and
Charlene Jacklin carried the floral
tributes.
In remembrance, donations to the
Freeport Health Centre, 3570 King
St. East, Kitchener, or a charity of

It was awards day at Blyth Public School, April 25 as well as being Weird Hair Day, as
several students received recognition for their achievements. Val Pethick, left, of the Blyth
Legion Ladies, and Brad Montgomery from the Legion were on hand to present certificates
for participants in the Legion speaking contest while Dan Baarda, back right of the Blyth
Optimists presented awards for a local spelling bee. Recipients were, in back, from left:
Bradley Schmidt, Teag Onn and Candice Bearss. In the centre, from left: Steven Empey,
