CHARLES C. SMITH
Charles C. Smith, of Bray Lodge
Retirement Home, Wingham, for-
merly of Blyth, passed away at
Wingham and District Hospital
March 21, 1996.
Born 94 years ago in Grey Twp.
to the late Oliphant and Mary
Smith, he farmed in East
Wawanosh Twp. for 50 years
before moving into Blyth. He was a
member of Blyth United Church.
Mr. Smith was the beloved hus-
band of the late G. Evelyn Smith
(McDowell), loving father of Gor-
don and Nadine Smith of Missis-
sauga, Lyle and Arlene Smith of
Sault Ste. Marie and Margery
Smith of Waterloo, the loved
grandfather of Sari and Emu Okpei
of Toronto, Peter Smith of Sault
Ste. Marie and Paul and Geoff
McLurg and dear great-grandfather
of Kyle McLurg of Kitchener.
He was the dear brother of James
Smith and Marg (Sam) Sweeney,
both of Brussels and predeceased
by brothers, Hugh and William
Smith and sisters, Marion Wight-
man, Elizabeth Cardiff, Joan Taylor
and Marjorie Ritchie.
Rev. Stephen Huntley officiated
at the service on March 24 at
Tasker Chapel, Beattie-Falconer
Funeral Homes, Blyth.
Interment was at Ball's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Murray Cardiff,
James Smith, Ron Smith, Ross
Taylor, William Taylor and Ivan
Wightman.
The North Huron Community
Foodshare will open its doors for
the first time on Wednesday, March
27 from 9 to 12 a.m., and every
Wednesday thereafter.
The Foodshare is located beside
the Home Video store at the north
end of Wingham in the old Beaver
Lumber building.
The Foodshare's mandate is to be
a year-round source of food for
those in need who live in the
northern part of Huron County.

for those who need food, but
cannot find a way to Wingham, are
