Rev. Paul Ross conducted the
service at Knox United Church and
Bernice Gross was organist.
The Invitation to Worship was
read alternately, followed by
opening chorus. Prayers were given
and the children's chorus was sung.
Rev. Ross told the children's story
and the Lenten candle of Faith was
snuffed out.
Hymns, Jesus Bids Us Shine and
The Lord's My Shepherd were
Eileen McClinchey welcomed
the Walkerburn Club to her home
recently.
President Ethel Ball opened the
meeting with "Smile" by Helen
Steiner Rice, followed with prayer.
The minutes of the last meeting
were read by Ruth McClinchey.
The treasurer gave her report which
showed a substantial balance.
Kay Lapp invited the club to her
home for the March meeting. Ber-
nice Norman will be programme
convenor and Ruth McClinchey is
in charge of the lunch. It was
decided by motion that the club
have a miscellaneous sale for the
March meeting. Draw and birthday
money was received and Kay was
the lucky winner. This was donated
by Betsy Verwey.
Roll call was answered with eight
members and one guest present.
From the Huron County Plan
project, Betty Archambault had
received a questionnaire. She had a
sung. Scriptures were read. The
song of faith, Open My Eyes was
sung.
Rev. Ross's message was "To See
Or Not To See".
The offering was received by Bill
Seers and Marinus Bakker and
dedicated in song. Let There Be
Light was sung.
Rev. Ross pronounced the
benediction and the singing of
contest on the history of Huron
County. It was very interesting and
members received knowledge of
this beautiful county.
Vera Penfound displayed quilts
The rates were set for the grader
and tractor with mower at the Feb.
13 meeting of Hullett council.
The grader rate is $55 per hour
while the tractor and mower rate is
$40 per hour, each have a mini-
mum charge of $25.
A bylaw will be prepared which
will appoint Karl MacNaughton to
the position of property standards
officer.
Council agreed to allow the trail-
er on Lot 40, Conc. 14, to remain
on the property until April 30,
1997, at which time it must be
moved. Reeve Tom Cunningham
vacated the chair for this discussion

The regular monthly meeting of
the Women's Institute will be held
at the Community Hall on
Thursday, March 21 at 2 p.m. This
meeting will be in charge of the
curator, Ruth Jardin, with the
history of Auburn for 1995. Roll
call will be "Bring an old book".
Mr. and Mrs. Ell Lapp and Mr.
and Mrs. Keith Lapp and family
visited in Kitchener on Sunday to
help celebrate Ell's Aunt Hazel
Elliott's 102nd birthday.
