In order to register for Kindergarten, children must be four (4) years of age on or
before December 31, 1996. Parents are required to bring the Baptismal Certificate,
Birth Certificate and Immunization Record Card of the child you intend to register.

Parents who expect that their child will enrol in the optional French Immersion
Program in Grade 1, in future years have the option of enrolment for Junior/Senior
Kindergarten at either their local Catholic School or the French Immersion Centre
(St. Mary's School, Goderich or Jeanne Sauve School, Stratford) at which they
expect to enrol their child for a French Immersion program.

Ex-Bulldogs showcase talents

bringing a sudden end to the season.
Zurich nips Bantams
The Blyth Bantams had their
impressive season ended last
Saturday when they suffered a
heart-breaking 5-4 loss to Zurich.
Blyth goals were scored by
Darryl Bromley, Jeff Cowan and
Mike Haggitt. Assists were credited
The Brussels Bantams eliminated
Goderich in straight games and
now advance to the group semi-
final against Elma-Logan.
Game one was in Monkton last
night with game two scheduled for
tonight in Brussels at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday night in Goderich the
Bantams scored twice in eight
seconds late in the first enroute to
an 8-2 win. Kevin Mutter and Jason
Kellington scored two each with
singles by Darrell Dalton, Cory
Bragg, Clint Fischer and Sam

The Blyth Atoms split two
WOAA playoff games last week.
On Monday they shutout and
eliminated Milverton in a 5-0
game. Blyth goals were scored by
Robbie Archambault, Brad
Schmidt, Michael Bean, Cole
Stewart and Justin Rinn.
Assists were awarded to Andrew
Toll (two), Bean, Rinn, Kirk
Stewart and Cole Stewart.
Eric Jarrett earned the shutout.

Wednesday in Brussels, the
Bantams scored five first period
goals in a 9-2 win. Clint Fischer,
Bragg and Kellington scored two
each with Chad Fischer, Trev
Wilson and Dalton adding one
each. Bragg's first goal came 30
seconds into play to give the
Bantams the early lead.

Several former Blyth Bulldogs
enjoyed a productive winter on the
ice as they showcased their talents
with area junior hockey teams this
season.
Brian McNichol displayed strong
leadership all winter long as he
enjoyed his second season playing
for the Brussels Bulls of the
The Blyth PeeWee Rep hockey
team began their group playoff
round with Scaforth Reps last week
in a best of five series.
In the first game, Blyth scored
five unanswered goals in the first
period and coasted to a 7-1 win.
Goal scorers for the winners were
Jeremy Van Amersfoort, Dave
Ansley and Drew Corneil, each
with two and Matt Anderson.
Assists went to Adam Anderson,
four; Ansley, three; Corneil, M.
Anderson and Tyler Stewart.
Seaforth came out playing better
hockey in game two. Blyth led 3-1

The Brussels PeeWee House-
league team split two games last
week.
On Wednesday, they skated to a
9-4 victory over Seaforth. Carla
Hunt and Brian Oldfield led the
offensive effort, with five points
each. Goals were scored by
Oldfield (four), Hunt, Marc
Fischer, Jason Armstrong, Chris
Coulter and Ryan Mawhinney.
Assists were awarded to Hunt
(four), Matt Cameron (two), Chris
Coulter (two), Stephen Todd, Andy
Van Beek and Oldfield.
On Thursday, the team suffered a
4-2 loss to Blyth. Oldfield and
Armstrong scored for Brussels,
with Hunt and Fischer earning
assists.
Coach Steve Coulter said the
team is playing well right now, and
are optimistic about their future
games. Having finished the round-
robin in a tie with Seaforth, the
team must play an, as yet,
unscheduled game against them.
Brussels
PeeWee Reps
enter tourney
The Brussels PeeWee Rep team
was eliminated from playoff
competition last Sunday, after
suffering a 4-3 overtime loss to
Goderich. Tyler Bragg, Phil
Affolter and Joel Kellington scored
for Brussels with assists going to
Brian Oldfield (two), Matt
McLellan, Jason Armstrong and
Marc Fischer.
The team takes to the ice again
this Wednesday and Thursday in
Goderich in the Young Canada
Week Tournament.
Juvies show
determination

out and supported the team through
both the regular season and the

Brad Anderson was a sparkplug
for the Wingham Ironmen of the
Western Junior C League. His
spirited play on defence was one
reason why the Ironmen advanced
to their league final. There they met
a veteran-laden Mt. Forest Patriots
squad that eliminated the Ironmen
in a hard fought final series.

The boys started to take over in
the second and went on to post a 9-
2 victory. Matt Anderson and

Atoms lose, 5-1
The Belgrave Atoms lost their
playoff series against Stephen Twp.
last week, losing a 5-1 game.
Ken McCracken scored for
Belgrave, assisted by Matt
Bromley.
Manager Gord Folkard said, "The
team was simply outplayed."
Their next series, in the "B"
division playoff will be against
Zurich.
Junior Girls win
The Belgrave Junior Girls took to
the ice last Monday, against
Monkton and skated to a 5-1
victory. Goals were scored by Lisa
Black (two), Laura Meiers, Jenny
Hopf and Nicole Procter.
Coach Cam Procter commended
the team for a strong game and
singled out goaltender Amber
Koehler for her standout play.
Tykes lose, 12-6
The Belgrave Tykes lost a high-
scoring 12-6 game to Wingham last
Saturday.
Jeremy Robinson led the
Belgrave effort with four goals.
Scott Phillips and Margaret Vincent
added singles.
Ryan Chamney enjoyed a
productive season his rookie
campaign for the Exeter Hawks of
the OHA Junior Development
League. Jason Rutledge was signed
by the Exeter Hawks late in the
season as playoff insurance and
scored a goal in his only regular
season appearance. The Hawks
were regular season champions of
the entire OHA Junior Develop-
ment League with a record of 30
wins, four ties and four losses.
Both players contributed to the
Hawks first round playoff victory
over the North Middlesex Stars, a
tough six game series. Chamney
and Rutledge both scored in the
series clinching 7-4 win last week
with Rutledge also adding two
assists. The Hawks now advance to
the Yeck Conference semi-final
against the Seaforth Centennaires
which gets underway this week.
Player prospects look good for
the future also as several players
from the Blyth Minor hockey
system could be joining these
former Bulldogs at the Junior level
next season.
