There was no church Sunday,
March 3 due to inclement weather.
March 18 will be a day of fun for
area women.
The day begins at 9 a.m. Come
and sew or tie a quilt or quilt a
quilt, clean a shelf, paint a
cupboard, have fun and be part of
making the church alive and well
kept.
The March meeting of Londes-
boro WI will be held at 8 p.m. at
the Hall on Wednesday, March 13.
Women please bring your squares
for Zambia.

The February meeting of
Londesboro Happy Gang Seniors
was held at the Hall on Wednesday,
Feb. 28. beginning at 12:30 p.m.
with a potluck dinner.
Members opened the meeting
with 0 Canada.
The minutes of the January
meeting were read and approved by
Lorne flunking and Harry Lear.
Reta Kelland gave the financial
report. This was seconded by
Audrey Thompson.
The Belmore Maple Syrup
Festival is Thursday, April 11.
Lunch for March is: cakes, Betty
Fisher, Mary Peel; ice cream,
Estella Adams; K-P, the Potters.
The club will purchase 40 plastic
placemats.
Court Whist was played. Prize
winners - white cards: first, Orville
Kelland; second, Harry Lear; pink
cards: first, Josie MacGregor;
second, Betty Archambault.
The World Day of Prayer service
was held at the church on Friday,
March 1. Burns and Auburn UCWs
were guests. It began at 1:30 p.m.
with dessert.
The meeting followed. The
theme was "God Calls us to
Respond". It was written by the
Women of Haiti.
The Greatness Of Our God was
sung. The next hymn was Those
Whose Purpose is to Kindle. Other
hymns were: Jesus Calls Us O'er
the Tumult, Let There Be Peace on
Earth and The Love of Jesus Calls
Us, which was the closing hymn.
This was followed by the
Benediction.
Those taking part in the service
were Audrey Thompson, Edythe
Beacom, Cheryl Trewartha, Mary
Peel, Betty Archambault and Beth
Knox.
