Ron Strome with two, Corey McKee, Tim Fritz and Brian Campbell, also scored for Brussels who trailed 2-0 after one period, scored five goals in the second period for a 5-3 lead, then allowed Arthur to score twice in the third to force overtime. It was while playing four on four the Crusaders scored the series ending goal. Tuesday in Arthur, Steve Fritz enjoyed a four point game in leading the Crusaders to a 10-3 win. Tom McDonald and Phil Livermore each scored twice with singles by Fritz, Campbell, Mike MacKay, Greg Mulvey, Strome and McKee. The Crusaders broke open a close game with four unanswered second period goals for a 7-1 lead. Friday the Crusaders returned to Arthur and survived a 6-4 win. Both teams were shutout in the second, then Teeswater once again took the lead in the third at the 3:30. An unassisted goal by Brett Bean just a minute later sent this nailbiter into overtime. Blyth clinched the win when a pass from Luke Anderson to Bean, who hand- ed off to Cody Anderson found its mark. Two days later Blyth met the club in a home contest and sent them home with a 3-0 shutout. It was a tense match up through two, with neither team able to sneak one past the opponent's goalie. Then Teeswater turned on the heat in the third to score three. Blyth, unfortunately couldn't find the twine. The third matchup was Monday in Blyth, while Tuesday they faced off in Teeswater.
