plan which would help reduce the
cost of the corporation.
The distance-related system
which also implements a surcharge
to non-paying municipalities, will
result in the cost to the village ris-
ing to $315 per year, based on 1995
figures. The cost estimate for use in
1995, under the old system, is $90.
Representative for Wheels Away,
Barbara McDougall, outlined the
plan which includes a 25 cent
charge per resident plus a $2 fee for
each ride,
When questioned on who in the
village uses the service, McDougall
said all riders must meet require-
ments set out by the board, but that
their names are kept confidential.

Knox United Church, Auburn with
Nancy Park as organist.

children and the children's chorus

the funeral of her cousin, Mrs.
Grace Belore, at Ingersoll on
Tuesday, Jan. 30. They called on

Lapp of London.
Mrs. Tena Empey, Mrs. Rita
Brown and Mrs. Ethel Ball returned
home on Thursday after a week's

was held on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at
Londesboro United Church. It
began at 12:30 p.m. with a pot luck

guest speaker Cobie Amorall of
Goderich, was introduced. She
spoke of the retirement home at
Goderich called Goderich Place.
Mary Peel thanked her.
The minutes of October and
November meetings were read.
Reta Kelland gave the financial
report.
A vote of thanks was given to
Reta Kelland for her work at the
euchre tournament. A donation of
$800 is going to the hall fund.
The next euchre tournament is at
the school Friday, Feb. 16.
Betty Archambault had a contest,
sung and scriptures were read.
These were followed by the
Doxology. The next hymn was The
Light of the World Is Jesus.
The sermon was entitled
"Where's the Action?"
The offering was received by
Greg Park, Ell Lapp and for the
Sunday School by Jeff Carter and
Bill Hayes, then dedicated in song.
Rev. Ross pronounced the Benedic-
tion and the singing of Amens
concluded the service.
