RATEPAYERS OF THE
VILLAGE OF BLYTH AND
THE TOWNSHIP OF
HULLETT
The Board of Management of the Blyth-Hullett Landfill Site
wishes to advise that a considerable amount of Recyclable
Material is being placed in the Landfill. The placing of
Recyciables creates extra work, increased expenses and
reduces the life of the Landfill Site. Ratepayers are
encouraged to use the Recycling Program presently In place
in their municipality. The Board of Management has instructed
Staff to monitor the situation over the next two months.
Please be advised that if Recyclable Material continues to be
placed in the Landfill, additional expenses may cause the
Board to implement User Fees. Recycling information is
available from your Municipal Office.

NOTICE TO DOG OWNERS
IN THE VILLAGE
OF BLYTH
1996 Dog Tags are now available at the Municipal Office. All
dogs must be licenced according to By-law No. 32-1995, being a
by-law to licence dogs and prohibit the running at large of dogs.
An owner or boarder of a dog(s) shall within 10 days of
becoming such an owner or boarder, and thereafter on or before
the 15th day of February In each year cause such dog to be
again licenced for one year.
The fee schedule shall be as follows:
(a) For each neutered male or spayed female dog - $20.00
(b) For each additional neutered male or spayed
female dog $25.00
(c) For each male or female dog, if only one per
household $30.00
(d) For each additional male or female dog $40.00
(e) Pitbulls and Pitbulls Cross $100.00
A $15.00 late payment charge shall be assessed in addition to
the licence fee.
Proof of Rabies Vaccination must be available at the time of
purchase.
The by-law requires dog owners to forthwith remove excrement
left by the dog anywhere in the municipality of the Village of
Blyth. Any person contravening this provision is subject to a
$50.00 administration fee.

30 Swinging Seniors meet
About 30 members of the Blyth
Swinging Seniors met in the Blyth
Memorial Hall for a pot luck dinner
on Jan. 24 at noon.
After a delicious dinner,
President Isabelle Craig took over
the meeting, which opened with the
singing of 0 Canada. A lively
sing-song followed, led by Vera
Badley, and Harvey McDowell.
Happy Birthday was sung to
Isabelle Craig for her January
birthday and also congratulations to
Bert and Dorothy Daer on their
wedding anniversary.

22 were: high lady, Marie Krauter;
high man, Roy Krauter; ladies' lone

Mr. and Mrs. Don Irwin of
Lucknow (nee Suzanne Rose,
formerly of Blyth) and baby son
Samuel visited on Friday afternoon
with Feme and Harvey McDowell.

They played several toe-tapping
tunes which the seniors enjoyed.
The business meeting followed.
An invitation was read to meet with
the Belgrave Seniors on Friday,
April 12.
The Seniors accepted an invita-
tion from the Ranch House
Restaurant to meet there for a low
cost luncheon with games to
follow. This will be Feb. 7 at noon.
Any Seniors interested are
welcome but phone Secretary,
Ferne McDowell 523-9358 to
inform her how many will be
attending.
Jean Nethery gave some
information on upcoming bus trips.
There will be one with the
Londesboro Seniors on March 11.
