Atom Reps take consolation The Belgrave Tykes took Monkton to a hard-fought 3-3 tie this past Saturday. Trevor Hopf led the offense with a pair of goals. Brussels Midgets lose 8-5 Scott Phillips added another. Coach Steve Robinson commended the team for their solid play and good effort. Huffman and Josh Bcuermann. Nolan Krotz carried the offensive effort, with two goals and four assists. Additional goals were tallied by Kyle Stephenson (two), Lee Dilworth (two), Darrell McClure, Tyler Campbell and Mark Hunter. The Brussels PeeWee Rep team lost a close 2-1 game against Mitchell on Friday evening. Chad Fischer scored Brussels' Coach Alan Krotz said the very offensive game was end-to-end and very wide-open. He commended his team for their success. On Sunday, they had an exhibition contest against Bayfield. This time, they came up on the short end of a 7-4 score. Brussels goals were scored by Hunter, Krotz, McClure and Dilworth. Assists were credited to Hemingway (two), Hunter and Krotz. Coach Krotz said the team, given their success of the previous day, did not seem into the game. Juveniles settle for lose, tie The Blyth Juveniles exited this weekend's action with one tie and a loss. On Saturday, they travelled to Listowel and held the home team to a 3-3 tie. Blyth goals were scored by Mike Heffron, Mark Wilson and Kurt Kumm, who added an assist. Benji Hakkers, Tim Lyons, Jamie Bromley and Mike Bromley were awarded additional assists. Coach Neil Salverda commended his team, which had been fighting a flu bug, for their strong effort. On Sunday, they returned to the Blyth ice for a contest against Mildmay. This time, the visitors stole away with a 3-1 victory. Blyth's goal was scored by Kumm, assisted by Brad Mulvey and Chris Howson. Coach Salverda said "I'm disappointed with this result. The players looked flustered and lacked the concentration they had shown so often in previous games."
