The November meeting of
Londesboro Happy Gang Seniors
was held at the Hall on Wednesday,
Nov. 29. It began with a delicious
Christmas dinner served by the
Londesboro UCW.
Len and Mary Peel thanked the
ladies. 0 Canada and Christmas
carols were led by Harry Lear with
Gladys Van Egmond at the piano.
The bird feeder, donated by
Willis Bromley was won by
Greeters at Londesboro United
Church on Sunday, Dec. 3 were
Dowie and Janet Wilts. Ushers
were Jennie and Angie Konarski.
The First Advent Candle was lit
by the Mitchell family.
Matthew 24: 36-44 was read by
County sets
planning fees
Huron County council passed a
bylaw accepting new planning fees
at its Nov. 30 meeting.
Under the new fee schedule, it
will cost $2,400 to apply for an
official plan amendment with
$1,840 going to the county and
$560 going to the municipality.
A combined official plan amend-
ment and rezoning will cost $2,865
with $710 going to the municipality
in the case of towns, and $305 to
townships and villages. The county
will get $2,155 and $2,560 respec-
tively.
Minor variances will cost $650,
split equally between local munici-
pality and the county.
Land division consents will cost
$600. In municipalities which have
been delegated authority for con-
sents, $230 will go to the munici-
pality and $370 to the county. In
other municipalities, $550 will go
to the county and $50 to the munic-
ipality.
The fee for a condominium or
subdivision plan will be $3,500.

and Betty Archambault presented a
skit. Gladys Van Egmond played
several accordion pieces.
Several ticket draws were held.
There will be no December
meeting. The next meeting is a pot
luck dinner at 12:30 p.m. at the
church on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
Irene Bromley. A Minute for
Missions was read by Audrey
Thompson.
The sermon topic was W5.
Next Sunday, the Sunday School
will present its White Gift Service.
Following this will be a soup and
sandwich potluck lunch. Bring
sandwiches and finger desserts.
Don and Joan Goodal and
Carmen and Mary Ann Drost
joined the church.
The worship committee will meet
on Monday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. at
the manse.
WI meets
The December meeting of
Londesboro WI will be held at the
hall on Wednesday, Dec. 13: It will
begin at 12:30 p.m. with a potluck
dinner.
