School collects
for charity drive
Vandals paint the town
By Judi Bond and Sarah Seeds
It's getting close to Christmas,
and BPS is getting in to that
holiday mood. For years now we've
been participating in. the Christmas
Bureau food drive. This charity
drive is optional, but by doing this
you could be helping a child have a
better, brighter Christmas. Toys in
excellent condition, books, and
non-perishable food items are
appreciated deeply.
For about three weeks the
primary classes (Grades 1 - 3) have
been working on fairy tales and
building imaginary castles. We
briefly spoke with some children
about topic. Shayna Shaw says,
"We saw these pictures and the
person reading would leave a part
out, so we could fill it in." Amy
Bishop said, "We have been doing
a book report, that we read by
ourselves. We also make posters
and puppets. We painted a fairy
tale picture and cut it out." Her
favourite fairy tale is Sleeping
Beauty.
BPS band has received a new
piece of music called Power Rock -
two pieces from Queen, We Will
Rock You and Another One Bites
the Dust. Mr. Kemp was the first
lucky one to hear the piece. the
comments we received were

excellent! He was very impressed
with the tone.
The band itself is hoping to be in
many activities during the year.
The band also looks forward to
performing in public. We thank
Mrs. Perrie for all her time and
patience.
Pizza Days have started again
this year and taste better than ever.
We'd like to thank all of the
volunteers and especially JRs for
their time in making such great
pizza.
Reports came out on Nov. 29.
Mr. Prior has put a lot of time and
effort to improve the intermediate
and primary reports. Conferences
