Ark's SWAT program ends

The summer is over and the Ark's
SWAT team (Students Working
Around Town), has summarized
their achievements and been plan-
ning for autumn activities.
SWAT, a group of 20, 11 to 15-
year-olds, volunteered a total of

off an outrageously courageous act.

visits to Huronlea residents, selling
flowers for Epilepsy Ontario and
assisting with the Ark's Junior
Summer Recreation program.

strong community involvement in
order for it to work. It is not
complicated and is based on the
idea of Neighbours Helping
Neighbours. We hope to see you
there," says Clark.
Often we tend to play a mind game.
The world honours those who
succeed but there is no recognition
for those who fail. Success may
increase our confidence but it also
heightens expectations so the fear
of failure isn't really overcome.

Lodge meets
Rebekah Lodge met on Tuesday,
Oct. 24 with a good attendance.
Lodge opened in the usual matter
with Betty Cardiff presiding. The
minutes of the last meeting were
read and approved.
A letter from Listowel Lodge to
attend their meeting on Nov. 10
was read. A letter from Clinton
Lodge was accepted for Nov. 6 to
attend a banquet and meeting when
President of the Rebekah Assembly
of Ontario, Edith Delano, will pay
her official visit to Huron District
No. 23.
An invitation from Stratford
Lodge to attend their meeting on
Nov. 4 was also read.
Happy Birthday was sung to two
Sisters.
A card party will be held Nov.
20.
