They enjoyed having Lila Procter join them, teaching the girls a new song. Camara Yuill received eight badges that she had earned over the summer and at the Girl Guide Camp (Keewayden Camp). Janisa Cloakey received her Space Badge. On Thursday, Oct. 19 the girls enjoyed making bat pencils. They played a safety game learning hazardous symbols, followed by a fire drill. The Sparks learned how- to play Purple Stew. The evening was closed when the girls were treated to freezies and pumpkin candy. Erin Weitendorf received a Spark badge for selling the most pumpkin pies while Meagan Carter received a badge for selling the most calendars. Congratulations girls. On Thursday, Oct. 26, the Brownies and Sparks are hosting a Halloween Party at East Wawanosh Public School. Anyone in kindergarten to Grade 8 is welcome. Anyone interested in bowling is most welcome to join them. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Stonehouse of Petrolia visited with their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse last Thursday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Grasby spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Gary Leitch of London and also attended the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Christensen in Woodstock. Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Smithson of Downsview visited at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Procter last Wednesday and Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Yuill spent last Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Elliott and family in Ailsa Craig. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Elliott and Linda Lichtenberger and daughters, Pamela and Abby of St. Thomas, also visited at the same home. Local attends wedding in British Columbia Mr. and Mrs. Chester McDonald of Goderich flew to Vancouver to attend their son, Robert Danny Thompson's wedding. Accompany- ing them were Bernice Thompson of Goderich and Ruth Johnston, Belgrave, grandmothers of Robert. They flew out on Sept. 15 and the wedding took place on Sept. 2/ They had a wonderful trip seeing many beautiful sites in Vancouver, Victoria and Whistler. Driving around the mountains provided many breathtaking views. Perfect weather was enjoyed. They returned home on Oct. 4 with many fond and treasured memories.
