These former graduates of Brussels Public School were presented with the George Menzies
Endowment Fund at F.E. Madill's commencement on Friday evening. Making the

A. Yoon gets Gov.-Gen. award
A Brussels girl ,.'ceived much
recognition at F.E. Madill Sec-
ondary School's commencement
night Friday.
Angie Yoon, was the recipient of
several awards including the presti-
gious Governor-General Award,
presented to the student with the
highest academic standing. Yoon
also earned a Proficiency Award
from the Wingham Optimist Club,
OAC Mathematics award in memo-
ry of Mr. J.S. Crawford, OAC
Geography award, the W.S. Hall
Memorial Scholarship for OAC
Sciences, the F.E. Madill Sec-
ondary School Teaching Staff
Award and the Carter Scholarship.
The other local winners of the
OAC Proficiency Awards were
Angie Ortlieb, of Bluevale for
Family Studies and Ursi Eigen-
heer, Brussels for French. Ortlieb
also received the Huron County
Child Abuse Co-ordinating Com-
mittee Bursary.
Brad Mulvey, Brussels captured
the Grade 12 Woodworking Profi-
ciency Award from Hodgins
Homecare and the John Stewart
MacNaughton Memorial Award.
The Grade 12 Proficiency Award
for Information Processing went to
Denise Ten Pas while Stacy Hahn
earned the Grade 12 Family Studies
