The girls are selling three wagon loads of pumpkins in an effort to raise funds for a trip to England. Each Saturday from now until Oct. 28, the Pathfinders will be located at the Belgrave Co-op, Grandview in Blyth and the Hillcrest in Londesboro, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Looking after the sales will be, from left: Julie Cowan, Lisa Kelly, Jenni Jackson, Jolene Coburn , Sharon Hartman and Leanne Haggitt. Leader Heather Jackson will be supervising the proceedings. Absent participants are Peggy Proctor, Vicky Black and Leader Pam Chalmers. Greg King of the Wingham OPP said officers from that detach- ment were called to investigate the theft of a truck from G.L. Hubbard Ltd. on Sept. 23. The truck was recovered on Sept. 29, and Sgt. King said Clinton police have charged Carl Vander Wouden, 20. Thirty-two people were in attendance. The resignation of former chairpeople Mrs. Battye and Mrs. Watson was accepted with regret. The nominations from the floor resulted in the election of Nancy Roe of Atwood, a former Blyth resident, as chairperson and Mrs. Ruth Stewart as vice chairperson. This is a mother and daughter team. Roe can be reached at 519-356- 2771 after 5 p.m. any day. Stewart's phone number is 519- 523-9222. The secretary, William A. Manning read out his resignation as Acting Secretary and stated that his intention and promises to former students had been accomplished. The show of interest in the attendance indicated that with much work the "Homecoming 96" reunion was up and running. VILLAGE OF BLYTH OPEN PUBLIC MEETING Council shall hold an open public meeting to discuss the Blyth Brook Community Greenway Project. The project includes the development of a walking trail, planting of trees, shrubs and wildflowers, improvements to fish habitats, and recreational facilities. The proposed trail would run along the old CPR rail line from the arch to the westerly limits of the Village. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 11th at the Memorial Community Hall.
