Appointment not necessary
Tuesday night, Sept. 26, saw an
expanded interest in the planned
homecoming 96 with people
attending from Atwood, Bayfield,
Goderich and the area surrounding
Blyth. Thirty-two people were in
attendance.
The resignation of former
chairpeople Mrs. Battye and Mrs.
Watson was accepted with regret.
The nominations from the floor
resulted in the election of Nancy
Roe of Atwood, a former Blyth
resident, as chairperson and Mrs.
Ruth Stewart as vice chairperson.
This is a mother and daughter team.
Roe can be reached at 519-356-
2771 after 5 p.m. any day.
Stewart's phone number is 519-
523-9222.
The secretary, William A.
Manning read out his resignation as
Acting Secretary and stated that his
intention and promises to former
students had been accomplished.
The show of interest in the
attendance indicated that with
much work the "Homecoming 96"
reunion was up and running.
