Brussels Medical Centre welcomes new doctor
By Janice Becker
For a 26-year-old doctor, fresh
from a two year residency at Sun-
nybrook Hospital in Toronto, there
are definite advantages to working
in a small town practice like
Seaforth and Brussels.
"There is a greater degree of
responsibility, with more decisions
to make," says Dr. Alan Kosaric,
the newest member of the Seaforth
Medical Clinic. He will also be see-
ing patients in Brussels.
"It is good to serve in a commu-
nity where you can get to know the
people better and they appreciate
you more here."
This is a nice area in which to
practise as well as being close to
family, he says.
Dr. Kosaric studied at the Uni-
versity of Western Ontario in Lon-
don, his home town, before
fulfilling his residency in Toronto
and spending two months in Parry
Sound.
His hours at the Brussels office
have not yet been set, but his
schedule will be worked out with
Drs. Woldnik and Zettel, who
began operating the Brussels Clinic
last November.

Dr. Alan Kosaric, who joined the staff of the Seaforth
Medical Clinic in July, will be seeing patients at the
Brussels office as well.
GRADE 6/7 EVENTS
By Jackie Falconer and
Jamie Lewis
The Grade 6/7 class has been
having a good year. Our teacher is
Don Mason.
We went to the Threshers'
Reunion on Sept. 8. The Grade 6
class went to the arena to look at all
the crafts. Many had their faces
painted and saw the steam operated
machines.
In Math, we did Roman
numerals. Now we are doing place
values and rounding to the nearest
number.
We have a fish tank at the back
of the room with crayfish and
sunfish in it.
We are also learning about the
world. We have learned about
Canada and the continents. This
month we received a travel bag
from Australia and in it was a
stuffed kangaroo and a stuffed
koala bear as well as a book of
pictures from a school in the city of
Orange.
