United Church
Doug and Marjory Fraser were
greeters at Duffs United on Sept. 17.
Sarah McDonald started the
service by lighting the Christ
Candle. After the Call to Worship
and the singing of Joyful Joyful,

there will be no service at Duffs

holding its Anniversary Service.
That service will start at 11 with
guest speaker Rev. Bonnie Cole
Aural. Everyone is invited to attend.

Jo-Ann McDonald came forward
to read the board minutes. Patty
Banks announced that the Sunday
School kids have a prayer wall
downstairs and if anyone wished to
add either their names or names of
other people in need of prayer to
let the children or teachers know.
Rev. Banks called the children
forward and asked if any of them
had ever done anything wrong.
Several hands went up. He then
asked them how they knew it was
wrong. He named some things
people do that is wrong and then
went on to say that it was called
'sin. Sin, he said, was when we go
against the laws and guidelines
God wants us to obey. These laws
when obeyed make for a happy,
safe and loving community. The
most important thing to remember
is that God never stops loving us.
Rev. Banks's sermon was called,
'The Loved and the Lost'.
