The parade for the Belgrave School Fair took on a special significance in the 75th year as
many past students and teachers returned to the area to participate in the celebration of a
dying tradition. The Morris Twp. float, carrying Councillors Kevin Pletch and Melody White
and Clerk-Treasurer Nancy Michie was just one of many entered to make for a memorable
occasion.
As discussions continue as to the
future of waste disposal in Huron
County, the Concerned Citizens of
Ashfield and Area (CCAA), met
recently to update members.
CCAA is in the process of
incorporation and Richard Payne
explained the process and
reasoning to the 65 people in
attendance.
The organization has received
information from Eco Waste
Systems, an incinerator
manufacturer and Bluewater
Recycling Association, regarding
alternatives to landfill.
Two petitions regarding the
impact studies were circulated and
signed
