Treacherous journey
John Drahushchak of RR2, Ilderton discovered just one of the hazards of travelling the
abandoned rail beds which run through the area. Drahushchak was driving along the rail
line, in Conc. 14, Hullett Twp. when his three-wheel ATV overturned as ne tried to mount a
steep incline. An OPP officer on the scene says the driver had descended a washout and
was unsuccessful in climbing the other side. The Blyth Fire Department attended, having to
bring the man out by pickup truck because of his remote location. The 44-year-old man, who
received injuries to his mouth and head area, was transported to hospital by ambulance.
