3RD INSTALMENT OF
TAXES DUE
The third Instalment of taxes for the Village of Brussels is due
on Friday, September 1, 1995. Interest at 1 1/4% per month or
any part thereof will be charged after this due date. Please
note that people ,who have acquired properties and have not
received a tax bill should contact the Municipal Office.
Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve a taxpayer from
responsibility for payment of taxes, nor from penalty for late
payment.

Organizers are also trying to get
more corporate and community
sponsorship this year, says Patch.
The Brusgels group did extreme-
ly well in the fundraising event last
year and Patch says they hope to
better the tally.
Buttons and T-shirts will be sold
during the first two weeks of
September, to add to the effort and
anyone wishing a sponsor sheet can
pick one up at several locations in
Brussels.

Charlie's three-week-old great-

Wilson Tibbo in Ottawa.
Mrs. Betty Clarke of Toronto
spent several days with Jim and
Leona Armstrong.

July busy time at Huronlea

Rev. Cam McMillan led the
church service in the chapel at
2 p.m. on July 2.
Rev. Mary Jane Hobden, from
Belgrave United Church led the
service in the chapel on July 9.
Residents' Council was held in
the fitness room at 10:30 a.m. on
July 11. In the afternoon the
monthly birthday party was held,
put on by the Come Alive Club -
Gorrie. They provided the goodies
for the afternoon and a good lively
musical program.
July 23 the Brussels Mennonite
Fellowship Group led the church
service on Sunday afternoon at
2:00 p.m.
July 27 Brussels Hymn-Sing was
held in the chapel at 2 p.m.
July 30, Rev. John Neilson of the
Presbyterian Church led the
service.
In the summer months we treat
the residents to special barbecue
dinners. On July 20 we hosted 100
Wing and 300 Wing and the
apartment tenants, then on July 25
it was the day for the 200 Wing to
have their special day.
The residents have also had a trip
to St. Christopher's beach in
Goderich for a treat of pizza. It was
a beautiful day and everyone
enjoyed the outing.
On July 6 Rev. Randy Banks led
the Memorial Service in the
Chapel. This was a time to
remember residents who have
passed away since_January.
July 28, Mark Kuepher led the
fellowship hour in the chapel at 7
p.m.
