Celebrating her 90th birthday
with friends and family was a bit
unexpected for Teenie Achilles of
Walton as a surprise party was
organized for July 23 at the home
of Emerson and Phyllis Mitchell.
A long time resident of Morris
Twp., Mrs. Achilles married Rolly
in 1936 after meeting him while
employed as a teacher.
The Achilles had four children,
Marg, Jerry and wife Linda and
Anne and husband Jim Sills. Son
Don is deceased. They also have 13
grandchildren and 11 great-grand-
children.
Black flies can't bite through blue
jeans and become claustrophobic
indoors, making it impossible for
them to bite. Because of their small
size, black flies find the tiniest
openings in clothing to bite
unprotected skin.

Warmer weather brings with it
many hazards harmful to four-
legged family members. Plants
such as buttercups, rhododendrons,
and rhubarb are poisonous. Many
items used for barbecuing,
gardening and painting are toxic to
animals - and humans.
Frequently, toxic substances, like
herbicides and pesticides, are
unnecessary and should be avoided.
For items that are required, there
are often non-toxic alternatives.
All toxic material must be safely
locked away when not in use.
Harmful substances that have been
spilt must be immediately and
thoroughly cleaned up.
In case of an emergency, it is a
good idea to always have the phone

number) of your veterinarian
